Hi everyone,
Things been slow the past 10 days. Decided to make sure I worked out the cellar hole where I came up with the 1913 barber quarter a week ago or so.
There are still signals there but the coins and good relics are far few and in between. I do have a idea of another area I saw a bunch of foundations at.
But I need to be with a few hunters. The area is really bad. I mean bad. I went there today alone with my son. And I saw a bum living in one of the foundations. No lie he had his clothes hung on a old coat hanger.
When I saw that I knew it was time to get out of there. The site looked really good though. I'd be fine with a guy or 2 there. It still needs to die out more also.
The finds I did make at the cellar hole was a 1890 Indian and a 1893. I got a nice 1916 buffalo and a 48 Jefferson. 3 wheat's and a token that was destroyed. It was some kind of member check token from some old store.
I did get a nice flat button and a colonial era buckle. The one with the three sharp teeth on one side. It's crazy this site. Last year I hunted the area right.
The front yard gave all the colonial finds and large cents and such. Then the back of the place had all late 1800's stuff and early 1900's stuff. This site has been occupied more than once.
I believe it to be around from 1820's to the 40's or 50's of the 1900's. This place is large and still has a solid stone structured building still standing in the middle of the woods.
I'm waiting for a few more weeks here so things can die out a little more. Then I'll get into some newer areas.
