COLONIAL CORN FIELD HUNT with SNIFFY*COPPERS,BUTTONS & SILVER

Got out with Jesse (sniffy) back to a Corn field we got permission to hunt last year.This field had a homesite in many moons ago.we pulled quite a few buttons,silver and coppers out last fall.The field was turned and today gave up some more keepers.
I got a handful of buttons,a 1916 merc,a 36 buffalo,2 wiped out coppers.one is a smoothie & one i think is a woods hibernia probably 1723 based on the bust.
***the coin to the left is a woods hibernia i dug a few months ago for reference***

this field always produces.too bad all the fertilizers & cow manure he spreads every year are awfully rough to the coins as you tell.Jess did well too!

That's a pretty good haul. A couple nice buttons there. It's a shame about the coppers, but what can you do, it's still fun digging them!

That site looks like it should be oozing with relics, and you proved that it does. Congrats on a very productive hunt with lots of quality keepers. Keep hitting it hard!

nice haul! at least you can see some of the bust. I picked up a couple coppers this year that were comptely blank. Everyone is making me envious that you're still able to detect.

the one on the left is in decent shape dug that one 2 months ago its a 1723 woods hibernia.the one on right i dug today and reverse is shot.so i'm asking for any help on this one

Oh yes, I was referring to the coin on the right, I dug a nice one myself but there's a hole right through the middle. Absolute guess, but I'd say it's a 1724 Wood's Hibernia Half penny.
