Hi all .On the weekend i had a extra day off and got invited to go digging with some bottle diggers. These guys dive into the muddy rivers on the other side of the border in Southern New South Wales, nice drive about 500 miles round trip for the day.Glad i wasn,t paying the gas bill lol BUt i had to sit for about 4 hours and watch the noisy air-pump.Well after lunch we went up to an old police station and i dug threw the trash pit.The trash pit has been cleared by the bottle diggers some time before.there only interest is bottles so i had a good chance of finding a few other relics. They thought it was funny at the all the broken leg irons and hand cuffs i found but that changed when in the bottom of the pit i pulled this 1880 NSW police helmet plate out.Didn,t get a single coin but i also got a few keeper bottles from the river, given to me.Didn,t get home until 1am and had work this morning at 5 am .so i have had much chance to clean anything.it took me nearly 2 years to get an invite with pro-bottle divers as trust is a big thing and they don,t like to share.fearful of site jumpers.Thats the way the ozzie bottle diggers are and i was just grateful to get an invite. Also cost me that Rare BUFS sandhurst bottle as well.
Yes hmmm that was costly but worth it.

tinpan PS getting closer to Harry Morrant country lol
