These finds were found with hunthicks with our only 2 hunts of the year... The normal crusty coppers, buttons, musketballs and a nice colonial buckle and silver spoon were found along with some bale seals. In the group of bale seals the top left one is a Intercolonial Railyway (late 1800's), one beside it is a late 1700's british lead seal and the bottom 2 are early to mid 1700's french bale seals with the fleur de lys on them. Also found a nice hand made lead cross with the french seals and a broken pewter 2nd American (Rev War) button. Anyone know what the second last piece would be? looks familar but not sure, was found at the Rev War button site, has a A on one point and B on the other. Sorry for bad pics....Thanks for looking.....

Yup, it would be nice to have another regiment or 5 show up at our sites, but I won't complain! 2 hunts in and it's been a decent year so far!

thanks

yeah it's not too often that we pull them out like that...usually broken into pieces

Nice hunt ! A Big congrads on the 2nd Reg. button :o You are digging some great old stuff ! :icon_sunny: MaineRelic

Great Finds :o
Love that handmade cross, one of my own favorites is a handwrought anchor,
Nothing like old items someone crafted for themselves ;D
Awesome 2 Button, I haven't gotten a US Rev button yet,
came close with a 1790s 10th Reg.
Super intact Buckle!
Love those early silver spoons, usually quite thin & fragile, did you get any hallmarks off it ?
Great bunch of oldies! Congrats

Thanks... I did get a halmark off the silver spoon and he's a guy from Germany who imigrated to Canada in the early 1800's... so it's good history when you can put a name to a find...
