Colorado River Finds

Met up with rockyredbaron from Texas & took him out to a park/beach on the Colorado River in AZ. spent about 6 hours metal detecting this HEAVILY hit park. (there were 4 other guys there through the day) I found $5.40 in clad & a 925 sterling silver ring.
Found some other little things as well. What suprised me the most were the amount on nickles I found, which tells me that others pass right over them maybe thinking they are pull tabs & that there should be a gold ring or two.

I just love a place where all the other treasure hunters discrim out nickles and lower. youu're right, it leaves the gold right there for the rest of us! Be glad, very glad...... HH

Nice ring you found. I have a place to hunt where there's more nickels than normal too. One of these days a big ole fat gold ring will pop out. I only have one this year but it sure was nice to find it. Keep diggin nickels.

Hey Rick, all I did was run it under water to clean it, It has the number 925 on it. Glad we got together and went out, looking forward to seeing that ring you found cleaned up!! Good luck in the future... Chris
