Very superstitious item! I was told never ever bring one home!! Wicked BAD juju! Found two, first one dry sand went right back into the hole and prayed to the sand god! Second one found in the water and back it went with prayers to the surf god! Because I responded to this post I'll have to pray to the Tnet gods!

Are these from the seals of urns that carried the ashes of the deceased? If they are they were tossed away when the family dumped the ashes and carry no bad JuJu...a bit creepy even though. Happy Trails, Woodstock

UPDATE........
Later this same night, I rode my bike back to the beach as fast as those rusted peddles would carry me. I dumped my bike in the sea grape bushes and ran as fast as I could accross the sand to the waters edge and said a few religous words and threw it as far as I could. It's now out there in the Atlantic Ocean, somewhere.

BTW - I had a few lobsters bump into me Friday late; tried catching them with my scoop, but those frisky fellows are too fast.
