COMPLETE COLONIAL SHOE BUCKLE & A CLIPPED KG II

got out for a bit today.dug alot of iron but managed 2 keepers.my 2nd complete shoe buckle and a clipped KGII it looks like.
always wondered what the brass discs were that ring out so nice.finally got one attached to something.

Beautiful Shoe Buckle HMN! Someone the other day posted the relic you have in the 4th photo wondering what it was. Looks like an Iron Strap of some kind running through it...

not sutre what they are but i dig alot of em.ya think ya got a large cent when your coil goes over one of these discs

What a great buckle, would make any hunt a super success. Its been years since I dug a complete one and seeing yours reminds me there are still more hiding out there.

The brass cap is the hasp at the end of the wood handle to your tool . Nice finds

Dido on the buckle, it, and the cut copper are awesome.

don't know exactly what tool you have there, but agree with relic lover, that the round piece with rectangular hole is the end of a wooden handle. Probably used on a variety of different tools. I believe I saw an intact (not dug) adze with this type of keeper.
