Cool old advertising! Dont know what you got until you clean it up!

[nathan104]

I found this a couple days ago. Its was just a sheet of brass. Dirty and dark. When I wiped dirt off of it, I could see part of a letter on it and decided to keep it just to see what it said. I finally got around to cleaning it today. Finally able to see what it says "South Bend Watches" ITs about 3"x10" I looked them up online and it looks like they were in business from 1903-1929. I think its pretty cool!

You can prob find a collector of those watches interested in that piece on eBay. Most of those watches on eBay all have active bidders

Nice find! Pays to hang onto the odd finds and have a closer look.

Cool find! I Know what you mean! I found a folded up piece of thin aluminum that turned out to be some wings from an early rubber band powered toy airplane!

[Old Dude]

I think it is VERY cool. I agree that someone will be definitely interested in buying it if you choose to sell it.
