Saturday I got out with a friend of mine to hunt some fields down. The first 3 sites were total busts. The final site (which I highlighted on map) was gone before 1887 like the others, but had some keepers hiding. Not even 1 minute into the hunt I snagged the 1829 LC. #30 on the year. The holes drilled in it are interesting. 1 hole for the ear, eye, nose, and mouth. Brad made some good finds as well, but snagged a sweet axehead (not pictured). I'm currently soaking it in apple cider vinegar and will get some pictures after the process. Have to thank Old Stonewall on for giving me the idea to clean it up, and how-to on his videos. Hopefully it turns out good.

I never expected to find this many LC's in one year. I spent hours/days studying old maps and genealogies to find the potential sites and it paid off well.

Are those all Matron Heads? Out of my 26 large coppers this year, I only have 2. You sure have some nice ones!

that is a picture that shows many, many hours of GOOD research Kyle, you deserve every single copper you found this yr, very impressive for Ohio!

Yep, a lot of work goes into finding that many coppers. Congrats on the nice haul.

Great bunch of nice looking coppers, wish most of ours came out of the ground like that. Don Tyler Merrimack,NH

Some very nice varied hues to those coppers--you've had a great year and there's still time for more.
