🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Copper item?

Found this item in farm field in Maryland. I think it’s copper and solid it’s fairly heavy. About 4” long. Indentation at one end. Type point at other.

that is the copper piece from a thermostat I think. it would have had a long piece of copper on the end of it as well at one point. I am not 100 percent on that ID, but I am pretty sure that is what it is.
