Couple 3 ringers, casing and a button?

Went out today to my favorite civil war spot. Found a couple 3 ringers and an old casing which i think is around the same time period maybe? I'm not sure about the piece in the middle. It looks like it could have been a button or something. I thought it was gold when i dug it, maybe gold plated? Any ideas what it could be?
