ZDD and me swinging in the rain, oh what fun.

The first site wasn't so much fun with only a pop can or two. The next site was better.

It gets harder, and harder to get firsts as time, and targets pile up. A Victorian quarter has been on my top ten list, well since I started, and I was sure surprised to see this one pop out. Yes I did do the damage, dug the smallest possible hole, not much to worry about as it is one of the most common dates.

The other surprise was the Magdalen Island Token of 1815, not a rare coin, but much tougher than many. It was a solid 93/94 and Dave watched me actually pray for silver when I had it in the plug. It was at the right depth, so was confident it was a coin. Not disappointed at all I've been wanting one of these, I knew what it was right away as I could see the "seal" it's a little weak, and I don't think I'll attempt any cleaning on this one, I know the lettering will disappear.

Also got a part of shoe buckle, come on shoe buckle !

Till next hunt, good luck out there.

EDIT, why can't pics come up in the right order ?

Alright Rick !

You are hitting all those firsts this season aren't you?
Victoria 25 cents and the Mag Island token are good ones to cross off that list, awesome day for you and ZDD

Hey, if your going to cross things off the list that's the way too do it! first I see of that Magdalen Island token...Congrats

I'd be pretty stoked with that day, well worth digging in the rain! You've had one killer year, that's for sure.

Thanks IH, and Patriot.

Hunthicks "killer year" THANKS, that it has been with the 1700s silvers, esp. the french from friday. Glad I didn't scratch that one :laughing7:.

Nice digs Rick, the Victorian quarter is a nice find and I really like that 1815 Penny.

The quarter doesn't do much for me but I like the copper. But low grade ones fall of a cliff for value.

Great hunt, one doesn't see those coppers been dug often.
