Thank you so much everyone...

The Vikings had a variety of keys and locks, including padlock.
There are also a number of written sources, which tell about the importance of the keys, the housewife who carried the keys was the manager of the farm, and therefore had the highest rank on the farm, her man was the boss outside the houses / farm.
In the saga it is told that the God "Thor" who had lost the hammer Mjølner, to get it back he had to dress up like a woman, and it was mentioned that he had to wear keys at the hip.
In graves you will find keys most often in women's graves, but sometimes also with men, without we fully knowing the meaning of this.
Most of the Viking key are quite simple but solid keys without too much decor, this kind of key I found is high status keys that are richly decorated and really pretty slim, possibly these have been more symbolic and decorative instead for use ?

I agreed these are very elaborate & I too wondered if the were symbolic rather than functional. The functional type I have seen are much thinner & finely finished.

Great recovery on the two keys, and they look in amazing shape also. Congrats on the banner and the two keys.
Just read where you stated everything 1537 and before has to be handed over to the museum, they had a great day by the looks of it with the recoveries made during the hunt.

Wow! Congrats of the great finds! Amazing!

The one item that looks like a small axe at the 3 min mark, unless it is some ind of necklace or amulet, looks like some lock plate covers I have seen. They would cover the keyhole on a chest or padlock to keep dirt and debris out.

Candlestick lever? I never woulda thunk that. More amazing than the stellar finds is your unwavering composure through it all. A big congrats on a much deserved banner!

You mention in the video that is definitely a grave site. Im curious how'd you knew that. Are there burial sites usually marked with keys?

No graves are not marked with keys, But when you dig one hole and find a lot off stuff, and it is not coins that may be lost, then it must be dug down for purpose.
Such burial can be 2 things, either one depo or a grave. Here I did make findings off keys, preserved wood, boat nail and other iron fragments and that make it most likely that there is a grave, I think boat grave with regard to the wood and boat nail. The keys make me think a lady is buried.

Congratulations on finding those keys! I know a lot more about the history behind some keys now!
Cheers
