Ok Scotty— In 1886, a veterans’ organization took pity on the old codger and offered him the assistant doorkeeper’s post at the Kansas State Legislature in Topeka. The job didn’t last long. One day, after some kind of dispute—accounts of the day vary wildly—Corbett brandished his gun inside the statehouse. That was it. Kansas officials shut him away in a mental asylum in Topeka.

Shirt on it's way.
Do you prefer red or black?

By the way, Ole Boston escaped from the asylum and was never heard of again. Speculation is that he went north to Canada.....

Best,

Scott

Dang where’d everybody go again? Tomorrow starts our tournament baseball. We’ll be traveling all over the state.
I have been not resisting temptation. (Sellers ad photo , I left the flail mower as part of price negotiation...).

Folks,

Back from a group detecting beach hunt in Toronto we had over 200 people lots of prizes, great people and we added a 2nd military veteran to the admin team on the Canadian forum. I believe it's the least we can do to help our veterans in some small way.

Today at work, I took a break from installing a micro-switch that works with the potentiometer that makes the jack move.
I went out side and was playing with my new "Smart Phone."

Yes, ole Scotty got a Smart Phone just before I went on vacation.
Time to join humanity in the 21st Century....

buck_rogers.jpg

Anywho,
I saw that the second Vet that I mentor had tried to call me twice while I was on vacation in the mountains where I had no service.
Friends, I had missed the scheduled Veterans Court that week and felt that perhaps I had let him down.

(For the basis of clarity and in keeping with anonymity, the first Vet's name is John and the second Vet's name is Dale.)

When I got home tonight, I called Dale and we talked for a good while.
I provided encouragement, strength and apologized for missing his calls.
I also promised that tomorrow when I get off from work, I'll get a fishing license and that I will announce an upcoming "Fishing Competition" at Lake Lanier during the next Veteran's Court Session this Tuesday.
Of course, I'll have to coordinate the date with the Court Clerk and Judge Roberts.....

I told him that I'd need help and asked if he wanted to "help."

I could tell in his voice that he was excited when he replied, "Sure!"

I said we could have Family also attend, have a grill or three going with hamburgers and hot dogs and plenty of soft drinks.

I'm sure that the turnout would be great!

Now, what can I say is to be awarded as a prize? :icon_scratch:

For:
Biggest fish?
Most fish?

Perhaps I can purchase a gift certificate for a dinner for two at a local restaurant like Applebee's?

I'll have to talk to some restaurants and see if they would be interested in providing assistance.....

Always there for my Vet Brothers, :icon_salut:

Scott

AFTERTHOUGHT:
I will talk to Managers of Restaurants that provide meals for Vet's on Veteran's Day.
Perhaps they may be more receptive to assist of gift certificates in my efforts.

Also, I'll talk to Friends that I have in Administration at work about possibly supplying the hot-dogs, hamburgers and such for the Competition/cookout. Scotty has a plan and the drive! Don't get in his way or you will end up helping!

Have you any plans for this Summer?

Just a little insight about Scotty....

My hands are scarred and dirty with grease and grime from a lifetime of making a living.
Some days, it really hurts to play my guitar.....
But, I play on....

My body is growing weak from years of physical abuse performing various demanding jobs.

My mind, though, is STRONG!

As long as my thoughts are lucid, I have a chance....

As long as I draw my next breath, I will win!

Scott

"Silent Lucidity"

Hush now, don't you cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
You're lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain

Of someone close to you leaving the game-- of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over... or has it just begun?

There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
Commanding in another world
Suddenly you hear and see
This magic new dimension

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help you see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you, in Silent Lucidity

[spoken during solo]
(Visualize your dream)
(Record it in the present tense)
(Put it into a permanent form)
(If you persist in your efforts)
(You can achieve dream control)
(Dream control)
(How are we feeling today, better??)
(Dream control, dream control)
(Help me)

If you open your mind for me
You won't rely on open eyes to see
The walls you built within
Come tumbling down, and a new world will begin
Living twice at once you learn
You're safe from pain in the dream domain
A soul set free to fly
A round trip journey in your head
Master of illusion, can you realize
Your dream's alive, you can be the guide but...

I- will be watching over you
I- am gonna help to see it through
I- will protect you in the night
I- am smiling next to you....

Don't you just love rock bands performing with orchestral backup?

What's your favorite?

Perhaps my favorite....

Have you ever played with an orchestra?

"I have not yet begun to defile myself. But the bottle will help....until I empty it....
Tomorrow, I may change my mind.
And then, I will no longer care of life or death. Will you?

"Why you look like someone just stepped upon your grave...."

Bet you never lived on the edge....

I'll bet that most have never really even SEEN death. LIVE. In your arms....
DAMN! No sleep tonight if I know what's best for me....
Why do I always feel so guilty?
I try to help. I really do. Yet....

Anyway in the 1970’s he had over 800 albums!!!!!!! Wonder what he has today. I haven’t spoken to him in a long long time.....,

Scott,

You got some real head scratchers there....I'm not to bad with coins but I'd be up all night trying to sort those ones out.
Maybe post them is in the what's it forum.

Regards + HH

Bill

Just finished sorting and listing the 55 pounds of foreign coins.

I now have 13883 coins for swapping!

Out of all of them, there are only about a dozen I can't identify.

Perhaps y'all can help...
Thanks in advance.
