The boys and I are on a new gig grandpa started, yeup we are having a blast. When we get change we go through it and see who gets the oldest coin. The boys are having a blast at this new game. I was out done by the little one last night. We will keep change for a week and then at the end of the week, we will hand them out then see who wins oldest by date wins. So far we have found a 1941 penny, but last night the little guy found a 1965 quarter.........this has turned into a heck of a lot of fun with the boys. When we are done with our "Examination" we put the money in a pickle jar for "savings" I thought after 10 years the gov't destroys the money, well we have found some good ones, mostly in the sixties..........we shall keep on. When I was a kid I had a 3 cent piece from the 1800's. Try it with your kids or grand kids its cool.........

Yep, Dahlonega, GA.
Where I love to camp and hike.

And the "still" is just a "representation."
I noticed that there were certain components missing....
Or so I've guessed....

After I went to the mines,
Consolidated
consolidatedgoldmine

and Crisson,
Crisson Gold Mine - Panning, Tours, Equipment & Supplies - Dahlonega, GA

I went to a couple of places that I've panned and sluiced for gold.
I ain't gonna say just exactly where....

Daddy and I used to run in little bars along the road in NE Kansas back about the late 70's,

Is life good?

Well,
Ya got yer good and ya got yer bad.

Example:

It's good- I just gave my landlord almost all the pocket money I had earned in the last week.
Closer to bein' caught up!

It's bad- now I'm so poor that dinner tonight is cabbage soup.

It's good-I'm of German descent-I love cabbage!

It's good-(again) Just checked my college student webpage and now have over 1000 hits!

A quick tally...
4 goods and only one bad.
And the bad ain't that bad!

I suppose that if I allowed myself,
I could search for enough "bads" to out weigh the "goods,"

Actually, thinking about when this picture was taken,
It was right before I returned to college,
About 4-5 years ago.
I'm sure that a recent pic would show more progressed aging now.....

Reminds me of a story about an ex-wife who forged my name on a tax return.
Ended up (SPOILER!)
That I had a Congressman Friend get involved and I actually got more money back on MY return.

Don't know what "penalties" were imposed on the ex.....
{or was part of the proceedings to never disclose...}

Anyway,

Here comes the Tax Man!
