I've been off on a sea Fishing trip, so Cru'dad tried a couple of options;
Shot-gun Alley - 1 Scrappy & 1 blank Hammered plus bits...

He then went to an area we wanted to investigate further. We had previous Archie evidence which lead us off track. I think sometimes the map references are deliberately off-point. We discovered this when studying an Archie crop-mark survey of a field next to a known site we do near a Turkey Farm. It turns out we were scouting someway off & today with the finding of 5 scrappies Cru'dad has now put another new site on our records. He left the rest for me to grid later & went for a big wander around this massive field, stumbling on his best find;
Henry III hammered Penny.:hello2:

Beauty short cross. I especially like it because of the massive offstrike. Congrats on finding another site.

On another note...I se Cru’dad caught something. Did you on that fishing trip?????

To answer yours & scrappies question;
It was a 1 day 6 hour trip just off the coast & I had about 10 dog fish (Nuisance fish), plus my first Smooth Hound (about 7lbs). The 4 of us had about 30 dog fish, 3 smooth hound, 1 Thorn-back Ray, & the best catch was a 15lb Cod. (the Cod have been hard to catch this year, not many have shown)

Never a bad idea to work in a little actual fishing, but with dirt fishing like that I'd have to hang up the poles for a while. Another killer hammered, nice work

You got it spot on. I used to be a specimen fish hunter, but for the last 2 years I wasted money on a licence I never used. That was nearly unheard of since I was a kid. So this was a mini holiday to remind me of my 2nd passion that has taken a back seat. I need to give up part-time work to have the hours to do both.:thumbsup:

New site :hello2: Great hammered :headbang:

Way better to confirm a roman site than have to say: Prehistoric....

Well done! Great to have a new site and congrats to CruDad on the hammered!
