That is Super Nice the way it is & maybe someday a "Professional" restoration may be in store , I know there are a few 'Well Qualified ' guy's who can do it right.
That said ...That Plate would make my Year or 2 just the way it is.

Fantastic find. My two cents ....don't ever get it restored . Leave it just as it was found ; it's orginal and that is what makes it special . You will always remember it and relive the feeling when you saw it come out of the ground.
