bah! I still don't have a sign or flag done....or any cinnamon rolls baked....I can not tell you just how chaotic it has been around here this last week and not looking to be any LESS chaotic til we leave either! We have changed vehicle and camping plans too many times to count....now it looks as if we are bringing a mini van and the three room tent! lol We ARE ARE ARE going to be there and camping though! lol We should be pulling in sometime Tuesday!!

Fellow campers, I thought that being there early Thursday would be early enough for a spot. Now, who knows.

I have managed to squeeze in several chores while attending "The hunt!"

I am planning on arriving early/midmorning on Thursday. Staying long enough to pitch the little tent i can call home for a few days. Then jump back in the truck for another few hours to run to Oklahoma City to pick up some vintage car parts. Get them loaded and come back to Caldwell.

Now the question, Is any one entertaining the thought of playing slots at the casino in Blackwell? If so, I would love to tag along. I am not going to call shotgun, that would be a little bold. But I would not mind being entertained at the casino for a while either. Or would my best bet be to stop in on the way back to Caldwell.

I am sure some one has an idea or two.

No casinos in Blackwell but, starting on way from Ark City, KS there are 2 on 77 an then you can pull off in Newkirk an East there is 1 then come into Ponca an go west by Tonkawa there is 1 maybe (they keep shuting it down) then keep going S of PC and there are 2 or you can go east there in another I don't think I am missing any

bah! Well we are partially loaded...need to pick up another tent and load the food and girls and that should be it. I need to make chicken drumsticks for snacks yet and make about three more trips to the store.
Waiting till Monday for last minute shopping...girls go to school till noon on Wednesday and then we head on over....hoping for no storms! If anyone sees a crazy woman with a bunch of girls camped along highway 44 or 166 eating chicken,you might want to stop and either join us or give us a hand! LOL

I think we need to do like the High School kids do. Paint our back windows, CTH III, or some other such nonsense. I am sure we would see each other somewhere along the way. If someone was stranded, it would make it more likely to get respectful help.

Sis I have a three man dome tent I could bring if you need it for the other tent. We are staying in the three ROOM tent and may have room for extras if needed as well. We might throw Craig into the small tent if he doesn't behave anyway so we will be bringing it for a doghouse or extra tent. rofl

Good idea! My daughter has some of that leftover car paint from a school event! Think they'll get mad if I put "CTH3 OR BUST" on the plane windows?!?

And don't worry, I'll save some for the rental car. It will need something!!!! Usually they know I'm coming by the squealing noise.............. (NO Deliverance movie jokes!!!! )

lol those 3 man tents are always "really good friends" ones huh! Teresa and 5 mo old Dani and I would fit okay but I am not sure just HOW good of friends three grown men would have to be to fit in there!

According to the 10-day forecast that I just checked a bit ago, it's showing to be in the low to mid-70's during the day and around the mid to low-50's at night. Definitely gonna make sure I bring my sleeping bag and some extra blankets from Hannah's house...
I don't see any bad weather though!! No rain or nothing! Of course, it's a 10-day forcast... and the weather up in the mid-west changes like no one's business! So we'll see around Tues or Wed of next week.
