Curse of Oak Island, Season 3

why are some lines Green & others Blue ?
were the Green lines added by Production to keep up the scam ?

Good question Jeff. They explained it to the guys in the room too. But man, right now, I can't remember if the green are the ones with water and the blue are the empties or if it is reversed. I'm going to have to watch it again.

Sorry. Its the brain thing.....lol

It sounds like a lot of peoples TV must be stuck on one channel and wont turn off.... Stop whining and change the channel, I'm sure there is a cooking show on that you can gripe about on another forum!:skullflag:

They said on the show that the ones in blue (I think) were filled with water and the ones in green were hollow.

Rebel003 - with respect we are posting in a forum for those who wish to discuss the Oak Island show.. as long as the post isn't off-topic or violates forum rules, anything goes.. Right? ;)

What's your opinion of the show ?

# 62 got me total confused.

Sorry Samuel, had to go back and listen to the video to see what was said. The blue lines on the map are tunnels that are not flooded. The green lines on the map are tunnels that are flooded by seawater.

This is the explanation given by Bob and Robert Leonard during their presentation of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Oak Island. The OW means Old Wood.

Patiodadio, yeah, I thought blue would signify water too until I watched it again. All this takes place between 15:50 and 16:30 in the video.

Ryano,
My opinion is it is more than just a TV show, these are real people doing what everyone here should want to do. It's not like many of the other myths or legend that may or may not be real, they know with in a few hundred feet where to look. They have a short season and tons of regulations to go thru before being able to do anything. I feel the producers could stand to mix it up a bit so we don't have to hear the same hype every show. We absolutely do not get the whole picture of just what they are trying to accomplish on the island, or the amount of effort the team is putting in to do so. When watching someone searching for myths and treasures becomes to boring to watch I will find something else to watch or wait till the weather warms back up and I get my dredge back in the water and will have no time to watch others...
This subject is becoming as volatile as the lost Dutchmen threads "in my opinion"

They must have a bunch of money, all the hiring isn't free, but I will watch also.
REVPO
If the History Channel is paying all the bills, including their personnel expenses, the brothers will be digging the rest of their lives. The brothers will not find treasure for many years. But, as stated before, the pirates were very smart, and made sure that if other pirates knew about it, they could never dig up the treasures, because the water will flood them out. I do believe the story about the boys, and the tunnels. Good hunting and good luck.

Nov. 19, 2015 - 7:47 - In the Zone: 'The Curse of Oak Island' stars Rick and Marty Lagina share their theories about what lies in the money pit

Knights Templar behind Oak Island mystery?| Latest News Videos | Fox News

Robot, could you paraphrase what is said in the link and tell us what you agree with and disagree with?

I won't bother with the link since interviews are set ups to tell what they want people to hear, pique some interest in the show. (I worked in radio 11 years, done it myself.)

I let my eyes tell me what I'm seeing. I also program which requires logic and reasoning skills.

First, I like the program for what it is. Second, I like Marty and Rick. They are REAL people who WANT to solve this "mystery."
But they have a quandary. They have a good deal of money tied up in property. Without the idea there is treasure, they stand to lose millions.

Go back to the last page and look at that screen capture. Do you see anything in the Money pit area or Smith's Cove denoted as treasure? No?

Do you think Marty and Rick didn't immediately zero in on those two areas? You betcha!

They know if they dig in other areas and find silver and good stuff, then the NMRI is right. If NMRI technology works then the Money Pit and Smith's Cove are dry holes.
That's why Marty has to question the NMRI technology.

How does Jack's hole play into it? Well, what would have happened if Jack had drilled down and found a tunnel with gold? That would prove NMRI technology works.
If NMRI technology works, then the Money Pit and Smith's cove are dry holes.

Jack had to fail to bolster the idea put forth by Marty that NMRI technology is suspect. There could be many reasons Jack failed. (transposed GPS reading, % of deflection of the auger, % of error for the NMRI, so I am not saying Jack failed intentionally).

At any rate, please paraphrase the link so we all have a basis for what it says. And what you think.

the other problem GPS coordinates.
they would have had to be very Lucky to even start drilling directly over the Tunnel.
I don't think the Government opened up the extra Satellites to the public
that are needed to be spot on with coordinates. Too much Paranoia going on.

But you put forth some Very important facts.
Marty and Rick are going by hundreds of years of rumors, tall tales & speculation.
they can't allow technology to say they are wrong.

I sill do not know why they have not "widened" the mouth of the well in a "strip mine" fashion.

Cone down in spiral stripping sides for room and wall stability as they go...
Sift and log everything as you go.
