Today, I revisited a packed dirt parking strip that's gotten a lot of continuous traffic since the early 1940s through today; I had searched it once last October with an ACE 250; today i went over it with my newly acquired 6" coil, mounted on the White's Spectrum Eagle that I've been using since January, and found these additional coins. All very shallow, one wheatie was actually on top of the soil in plain sight, though well camouflaged. The buffalo nickel was just under the surface. Too bad it's so corroded, it would have been a nice coin with the date showing very clearly.
This parking strip was like a time warp. It was all 1930's through 1950's coins on or just below the surface, and almost no memorial pennies or clads, I think I got one clad dime, one clad quarter and one or two memorials. Across the street, similar driveway, similar building, no old coins, just moderns.
