<<<DAD JOINED THE HUNT & CLEARED UP>>>

Wow what a day.

Now that the harvest is well under way & I have loads of land to do, I have called upon my Dads services again. Its my hobbie but he likes to find stuff & lets me keep it all. Good deal

We went to some new fields to try them out. The photo's are in field order.

Field 1 - Dad's second dig was a Early Medieval (Possibly Saxon) Stirrup Mount. First one ever for us. After that not much, so moved to next farm.

Field 2 - Favourite of mine but the stubble was too high, only got some Bronze Slag, coin, lead sack seal.

Field 3 - I begged Dad to drive to this one before we went home, so I could go home with a couple of Roman Coins. Guess what I got 3 & Dad got 1. However he got a rare hammered of Henry IV 1399-1412. Not only that in this last 1.5hrs we had buttons, other finds and on Dad last dig next to the car was a VIKING STRAPEND cica 10-11th century in the Urnes style with interlaced beasts.Looks like a Dragon with wings looking backwards (worth $300-$500)
This was about no.6 on my wish list. Very Rare & our best find in ages.

I will have more help from now on
