Nice hunt- I'm a huge SLQ collector and fan , always look forward to seeing them posted- dated or not, great find- Congrats!
Thank you.....SLQ's make a nice collection.

Thanks for the tip but I used to use that stuff way back in the 50's when the SLQ's were still in circulation and the date would show but not be permanent and would kind of rub off. Dealers wouldn't buy them either. You could do the same thing for dateless Buffalo nickels with the same results.
To me, if I can not know the date of my find, it's generally worthless anyway except for bragging rights. Yes the date only gets marginally visible and can rub off. I still have to find out what it is. Buyers won't buy it regardless what you do to it.

date or not, standing libs are always a great find

the 3 stars below the eagle means it was minted between 1917-1930 I would say it was a pedestal date and not recessed. Ped.datesare1917-1924. hope this helps to narrow it down some. Cause if the date was a pedestal recessed you would still see it since it would be stamped into the coin

also what Mckenny_5900 said do a acid test on the date field it will pull to date out

Nice find. Now you need to go out and find a date for dateless.

I mentioned the dates 1917-1924 in my original post.

Without doubt outstanding. The date would be nice though, if it is possible to show.
Thanks.....a date would have been nice but maybe next time.:dontknow:

I got out for just over two hours this morning and hunted a site that has held flea markets since the early 1950's. I dug $5.04 in clad, a Bahamas 25 cent coin, and a dateless Standing Liberty Quarter. It's a type II and dateless so it was minted between 1917 and 1924.
Awesome day of digging and the SLQ is fabulous
