Dating Shell-Edge Pottery

This was an interesting article in my "Early American Life" magazine. I hope this helps some of you guys to date your site(s) when you are in a field and eyeball shell-edge pottery.

I find a lot of the 1775 to 1800 era british (sheffield) made blue and green edged stuff round here

Most of the stuff in Kentucky and Southern Indiana was the transitional type, without the scalloped edge, but with the feathering and the furrows molded in.
