Daughter's First Silver....show off
So my youngest daughter, who is 20, called Sunday and says she has Monday off and would love to go MD'ing. She has never swung a detector and wants to learn because she is tired of getting pictures from dad showing what I have found. So I schedule some time today to take her out. We do the minimal target recognition training, and I agree to dig whatever she deems to be worthy. We are in the hunt for about an hour and a half maybe, she has found a couple clad dimes and 4 pennies. When she hits a weak signal and she doesn't give up on it keeps swinging and trying to pinpoint it .... finally says right here dad..... so I cut the plug and it is not in plug, she says i think it is about 6" so I have her check the hole and nothing. I check the hole with detector and nothing. So I tell her let me loosen up a lil dirt and see if we can relocate the signal. Low and behold as I am loosing the dirt I see silver standing on it's edge. Her first ever at coin #7 and my best silver is a mercury dime. Needless to say I am still pretty stoked about the find, as is she and is already coming back on her next day off...............
Here it is fresh from the ground:
Thanks for the look.
