Day 2 at Colonial Site = Large Cent, Shoe Buckle Frame, and Relics

KKC got out today to the same site we hit last Sunday. I got three Colonial coppers there on the last trip. I dug a Colonial shoe buckle frame piece, an 1847 Braided Hair large cent, and many buttons today.





Chris got a killer large cent today!

It is a large Colonial button. I love digging the ones with designs.

Congrats on the Large Cent, Kyle! (yeah as Jeff says, you hear that one a lot I'm sure). I don't know about you, but I would be happy to accept as many as the ground has to offer

I also like that star-design button. Nice early relics.

I have a site where I dug the corner of an early buckle also. It wasn't at the dog field, but it was a foil hit.

That's a great LC. The detail is awesome. Chris found a great coin, but that one is nice.

Here is a pic of the two decorative buttons.

Folks, I also included a pic of the shoe buckle frame piece that I found. On the back, it looks like there was a maker's mark on it. The letters "WH" are the only letters identifiable. Does anyone know who the maker of it could have been?
