Now that the hay cut has shorten the grass we can now finish what we started. Last time we were here was in May.

We both dis-like this field as it has very few signals & even less keepers but we are stubborn & it needs doing properly so we never have to give it another thought!

Yesterdays forecast rain finally came, so we kitted up & started the hunt in the rain. Only did 1 hour 15 minutes (2.5 man hours) because the local Museum was open (only opens 10 times a year). We have a few displays in it & wanted to chat to the public about our local history.

Only found:
Lock
Furniture decoration
Blank coin
Nearly blank 1670s Farthing

The word is generally misused and overused, but I believe "AWESOME" fits the description pretty well here.

AWESOME!!!

Nice finds up above--and you do us all a service by making the display for the museum. The history there--and it's educational power will reach far beyond that of a bunch of Medieval trinkets squirreled away in boxes in the closet. It's always nice to have a portion of your collection seen and appreciated.

Well done!
