Spent 4 hours (8 man hours) getting whipped around by the wind. Thankfully only a little bit of rain today. Not as much as yesterday. :coffee2:

Damaged Tombac button
2 OK Roman Coins
Medieval Spur Rowel

My first Stone Age Hammer Stone :)

Can't wait until our better fields are harvested but the rain is delaying things. :tongue3:

Hey there, partner.
What is the circled object?
It reminds me of the one I found last week.

Hello Crusader,
Would you tell us more about the two Roman coins? What Emperors, mint letters, etc.?
I have been collecting Roman Imperial coins for about two years, and they are a fantastic subject. The British soils are pretty hard on old copper alloy coins, but I've bought a couple of British found examples of late Roman coins that are the stars of my show. Max Daia large folles, PTR in GEF, and Severina ant., ConcordMiliti, out of round platchet, but GEF- found 30 km SW London. She still has most of her silvering too! Gallienus seems to have had a strong presence in Roman Britain as well, but time has had it's way with the pre-Gallic coins found there. On one ancient coin forum I visit, there is a member who is finding several 1st-2nd century denarii out in the countryside. But, they are "night hunting", so they may be trespassing to get their coins. From the scans, the coins were well circulated, but are in nice collectible condition. I'd say F-Vf.
Best of Luck!

Nothing very special (common types);

Left - unknown radiate head left - Antoninianus - likely 2nd century.
Right - Constantine I - GLORIA EXERCITVS - two soldiers either side of standard

Between Dad & myself we only get about 10 Roman Silver a year (if lucky). I know night hawkers in the area that do better on land which they are not allowed to hunt. We never do this & stick to the land with permission, but its hard work. We are aiming for 300 scrappy romans this year. Only about 30 will go in the Album. 50 like the ones above will go in my Roman pot & I will hand them out to kids etc, the rest go in a jar.

what is to the right of the circled button ? it looks like lead maybe.
