Spent 3 hours (6 man hours) on the R*pe Field which we left a couple of weeks ago. If the weather tomorrow isn't heavy storms like predicted then we should finish this field for good. As we have done it for several years & its not that good. (1 to cross off the list)

Best find was most of a sword belt fittment. I did a quick scetch to show how it worked. I have not seen this type before & can find it in my books but I will place it in the 14-15th century. :)

crusader, you must have a whole room for your museum :thumbsup:

mine is only a small portion of the mantle piece(which really pleases my missus) but it is slowly spreading!

oh! and i currently have a small display of rusty iron artifacts on the kitchen side, which if i dont move in a minute will go in the bin!

still cant beat the 18th century barrier :(
