Day Out With The Grandkids

I took two Grandkids on an outing, they found Herkimers, frog eggs, skipped rocks, found mussel shells, then we saw a sign that read: Slow Wild Kids.
After a great trip, we roasted weiners & marshmallows, as the big moon rose over the trees, Great family time. :thumbsup:

I can't wait to have kids someday to do that kind of stuff with... nature is so beautiful to not go out into it.

Oh,the memories.Having boots must be great.When I was a kid all we had was our black high top 'Keds' with holes in them.You're teachin' them right.Terrific pics,fossis.

Thanks, the girl was getting over a bad cold, & even with me carrying her over the creek several times, she still managed to get both feet wet. :dontknow:

Best times I have are with the grandkids. In my family uncles and aunts were like your mom and dad, and grandparents were teachers, as the folks might be too busy workin from sunup to past sundown. They taught me how to hunt, shoot, fish, where the best places to look for arrowheads were, when to plant, everything related to camping, what plants I could eat out in the woods, and how to sew and crochet. (really)

Hey, be careful eating them weiners. Surgeon General says wer'e going to have to redesign them because to many people are choking on them . You've got to be kidding me.

You had it good, I had to learn most of it through asking 'sly questions' from others, so as not to look too dumb.

Thanks Mamabear, I take them all I can, their Dad works long hours on two jobs,
all the thanks I want is for them to 'pass it on to their Grand-kids'.
Once my Grandson asked, Grandpa do you work? :laughing7:

I'm already spoiling my granddaughter with rides on the ATV into woods. Back in my day, it was horses or you walked.

Anyway, it was fun for you and fun for the grandkids...couldn't ask for anything better. :icon_thumleft:

We did the same ride horses or walk, now it's hard to get them to walk, (they tire easily). :icon_scratch:
