What's new

Dead Mans Camp article from the archives of the Fairplay Flume 10/28/1880

I'm planning some trips to this area with a friend that has searched extensively. Could you give us any legitimate clues as to where the trail markers are, and or if you are not looking any more could you tell us where the caves are! ? Please!

Any luck, and any pictures as proof of find? Once you have it all, let us know where it's at so we can at least go see the spot! Thanks.

Where did you find this newspaper article?

mp3clark: You took the wooden stake out of the heart of an old post. Since I doubt the OP will respond, I'd like to help you if I can.

The Library of Congress Chronicles of America has a huge collection of on-line newspapers. Jeff of PA is the past master of this art. You can search by state, city, newspaper name, topic, etc. Chances are good you will find what you are looking for there.

Good luck to all,

Sorry the images are not rotated - TN doesn't let posters do that.

Well we were not able to leave due to flooding, only one road out as of now. It got pretty bad up here.
You still alive? Most of the time if there’s no answer for years, person either found what they were looking for or they’re dead, would love to know where the Spanish marker is!
