Decorative trigger guard? How old? What kind? Looks OLD!

Guys and gals, I hope you dont get tired of me posts but I found this killer forum and want to share me goodies which ya'.

Have had this one for a few years now. Impossible for me to know the age because the house site had survived for more than 200 years before disapearing in the 1960's.

Beautiful relic and it looks like it must be before 1900? Hand carved and naturally lob sided look. Very crude indeed.

I sure as heck dont know much about this sort of thing!
