Did some searching around a area know to have some type of railroad depot around the turn of the century, recovered multiple timeframe pieces, oil lamp items, CH Guyot suspender buckle, a portion of a whistle made in France. Some type of foot pedal, metal 4 hole button, some type of decorative hanging item, resembles a bell, and the decorative buckle type accessory.

Decorative buckle , holes near center seem to be to attach with wire/thread, what is it?

The first item appears to be a Victorian Marcasite mourning buckle, but I can't say for sure without seeing a photo of the back and knowing the measurements. I'd like a close up pic so I can see where the attachments were.

Nice finds :)

The beaded item made me think of a little purse my Mom has from the 1920's but Breezie is usually spot on with her I.D.'s

I agree Gator, I have also seen these at some period on one of my aunts purses or something, also a lot of small beaded ones, I can see it on some lass going to the speak easy with the tassel dress cutting a rug

Hubcap, thanks for posting pics of the back. Now I can see it is NOT a Marcasite buckle, but a metal buckle cover or adornment made to 'look' like Marcasite. Here is a website with a real Victorian Marcasite buckle. As you can see it is very similar to yours.Vintage Victorian Buckle Cut Steel Faceted Beads by Remtique

Your 'look-alike' does appear to be from the Victorian period and was probably used as a decorative cover, which could have gone on a jewelry box, advertising box/tin, or even a buckle cover for a ladies sash buckle.

Neat find :)
