Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Road being widened and river rock is showing up on the surface. This area is about 1/2 from a river where large bucket line dredges worked way back.
The area to the river is flat so maybe dredges worked out from the river to where the roadwork is being done. Maybe a good idea to detect the area before the river rock is covered.

time is critical as the rocks will be covered within days.

Good idea ?

Went to check it out and the road crew flattened out the road with a roller, ready for paving. They are fast ! Did not detect.

Missed the detecting , they are ready for paving.

Check the piles of moved gravels. I was with Erwin Lee back in the mid 80s and when hiway 49 was improved at Moccasin Creek he found a massive white quartz rock with a small speck of gold showing. It ended up containing many pounds of beautiful etched gold was the end result-John

Wow! Just exactly how many great stories do you have tucked away in that glorious brain of yours? Would love to read some of your stories in collection format.

All the best,

Lanny
