Nate and I didn’t get out to the berg yesterday. I wanted to keep it a shorter day. So we were back to the heavily hunted parks and elementary schools. It is interesting how a hot spot changes your perspective on metal detecting. This was our first hunt in about a month not at the Iceberg(hot spot that has given Nate and I 63 silver coins in the last 4 weeks). And although I didn’t come home with a bunch of silver coins, wheats and buffalos it was still a satisfying hunt. I especially felt good about going to a park that has been heavily hunted and pulling a silver rosie and a couple deep wheat pennies from it. Metal detecting isn’t always about what you find but how you find it. Ok, enough philosophy.
We did invite ZoSo to hunt with us and he met us at our spot. A nice guy and experienced DFX user. He found a couple goodies which I hope he posts. Nate also found a ring worthy of a post.
Not too sure what the “U.S.” thing is. It does have a screw head coming off the back as if it was screwed into something. Maybe served as a knob?
One thing I had almost forgotten - Clad can be fun. I found 12 clad dimes in one hole. Another hole gave me 3 Quarters.
