Hello All,

I wanted to share the last week with you. Been busy lately...

First off, here are the knee buckles that I dug with Hill Billy:

We have been doing some privy digs, with the help of Tnet member Nisroc. :headbang: This one was a brickliner, close to 9 feet deep, and had some hinge mold and applied top bottles, a few embossed ones, and lots of slicks. Here are some photos:

Here is some of what I kept after splitting the finds between us and the property owner. Some interesting bottles, a figurine (that I'd love to know more about), a clay pipe, a brooch with a brass frame, and some great marbles:

Excellent finds and very hard earned, Knee buckles are very nice, the Statue and marbles are very cool. I think in the first relic pic, the piece in the middle, i think might be masonic, does it have any symbols on the flat side?

It has been very fun hunting with you and enjoyment to make another friend in the hobby. Your time being here in Ky, you have worked very hard saving History and having a Great time doing it. That's what this hobby is all about in my book, So I hope you the best on your move and can't wait to see what's next on your finds list.

Good Luck Today

Bill

Those are some really great finds!!! The knee buckles are awesome. The marbles are an envy for anyone who collects them. The bottles don't seem that old. Once I found a figurine's head exactly like yours on the turn-of-the century tip.

Will, some super finds from that dig, congrats on the two buckles, they area a great addition to your collection, the very old marlbles-super, the figureine is another one I think is a great display item, the cup, wow, nice getting a pretty one mostly intact, and the photo of digger girl in the hole - Priceless

Buck... I can't wait for tomorrow. You have been the best friend a friend could have. I think back on the day that I met you. Was me and KFB hunting my family farm, when he said I have someone I'd like you to meet. Of course I said fine, and the next time KFB visited, we met. We have hunted hard since then, and I will never forget the times we've shared. I'm glad we finally got on a privy dig that we actually found some bottles. Yeh they weren't as old as we'd like but it was still fun. I'm sorry tomorrow will be our last hunt for some time together, but it will be remembered. To have KFB join us will be the icing on the day, considering he introduced us. Of course I can't leave out digger girl, the only female I know who like's to dig in chit. She's a keeper :love5: Cheers to tomorrows digs and may your hunts down south bring you many more friendships.

Hill

Thank you for the kind words, HB--and congrats on the great recent find. :) Been a great 3 years with all of the crowd, and 4 years with KFB. Loved every minute of it. I'll save the goodbyes for later.
