Detector find Smith and Wesson???

I found this last weekend in an area that I have found a lot of civil war stuff. I also believe there was a old barn or something here. In case you can't make out what it says...it says Little over the S&W and what looks like Giant under the S&W. I have already talked with a smith and wesson historian and he says its very interesting but it's not a smith and wesson logo because it's missing a couple of things. Please let me know if any of you have any idea's what it was.

Was this found near RR tracks? There was/is a co. named "Little Giant" that has been in business for over 50 yrs making hydraulic track cranes, rail dedicated, truck mounted and rough terrain material handlers synonymous with the railroad industry. It could be a part from 1 of their machines.

Yep! sure is a train track about 100 yards or so away from the field I was hunting in. :D
Thank You for that info, that gives me somewhere else to look. I will see if I can find any information on them. Thanks again for the info.
