jbensi; It doesn't make any difference. If you compare the two programs in the manual you will see that the only significant differences are that in the Beach program Tone ID and VCO are turned on. Both of these features are very helpful once you learn how to use them. The easiest way for a new DFX owner to try these features is to use the Jewelry & Beach program whether or not you are on the beach.

Schrecky, you beat me to it. Your correct in the settings of the two modes and the best way ot learn them. People have preferences and the only way to see what works for you is to try the different modes.
