I hit an old house today, built in about 1887. It has a big yard going all the way down to a little creek and I hunted every square inch of it. I have been seeing you guys pull up gold coins recently, so I told myself to dig everything, as you can see by one of the pictures. I did pretty well, tallying 1.64 in clad. My first good find of the day was this old token. I saw the hole at the top and the date of 1789 and I freaked out. Turns out it is an 1889 medal/token commemorating George Washington's Inaugural speech in 1789. It had a little ring attached to the top but I didn't find it. Suprising as it was about half an inch deep. I'll attach a picture of what it's supposed to look like. I found 3 wheaties, '35, '42, and another '42. Next find was an old bell. Not sure how old, but it has a cool little design on it and the clapper still inside. Any idea on age please let me know. Also got a nice IH, 1906, about 3 inches deep. Last find of the day was a '42D quarter, in decent shape.
Thanks for looking everyone, and happy hunting!
PS sorry for the blurry pics.
