Difference between Manticore's "Beach - Surf and Seawater" and "Beach - General"

So, what's to keep me from using the Manticore setting "Beach - General" when I'm detecting in the water? I seem to get clean signals with it. My "Surf and Seawater" only gives me continuous squawks and squeals, whether in or out of the water.

Ive only had my maticore for a few weeks and am still learning but ive been using all terrain general even in the water and is very stable with no chatter.lots of finds with it.I only change to 5 tone and sensitivity around 20 and no problems
