Tesoro Tejon, Garrett Ace 350.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I found an area where they moved a bunch of dirt and turned it over,I started searching it thursday and to my surprise I dug up a dateless standing liberty quarter. I found a few copper memorials and then a storm moved in Thursday night; Six inches of snow! We had another two inches friday and it did'nt melt until Saturday evening. Yesterday it had dried enough to search again and I found another standing liberty about 60 yards from the first, laying on top of the ground!
I ended up finding 3 new quarters and several memorial cents along with two wheats. The silver ring was found in a private yard on thursday. The more worn quarter was the first. Good hunting!
Saturday April 3rd I went south and found 255 coins going the cycle. I found 66 cents, 5 nickels,91 dimes and 92 quarters. I also found a 1971 kennedy half and a Sacagewea dollar. I found my fourth silver ring of the year a large sterling CTR ring, also a Dixie police academy medalion. this could be my highest one day total this year, Good hunting, kane 23

Re: Digging dateless SLQs

They still count! CONGRATS!!

Re: Digging dateless SLQs

They don't need to have a date to feel valuable...they look just fine on their own! :hello2:

Re: Digging dateless SLQs

Consider, for a moment, how many more SLQ's we might have if she could find a date! ;D

Thanks Cynangyl!,
I have found many SLQ's in the past many with dates, the best being a 1917-s Type one in AU condition, many more without dates though. They had to recess the date starting in 1925 because they were all wearing off. Good hunting, kane 23

Sorry no pictures of my saturday finds. We had more snow here yesterday, when will it end? kane 23

Hey kane !! good to see your posting ,,, sounds like you have a good start for the year!!!

what detector do you mainly swing ,,the tejon or the bandito???,, just wondering

have a good one

arthur

My first 8 SLQ's had no date. Finally, last year I found one with a date (1928-S). They are hard to find. They were produced over a 15 year period, not much of a lifetime for a coin.

good to see your post kane-great finds and best of luck to ya!

Art, a cold north wind is blowing today, but the snow has melted again,so I will be out again shortly. I use the tejon, since my son currently is using the bandido. January and febuary were mostly a bust. I hope to do more this month if it stops snowing every few days. I hope all of you are finding a lot. GH Kane 23

Wow...you are sure cleaning up. Sorry about all that snow! ;D But as you know, wet ground shows many hidden targets. HH
