All of my half dollar veins are tapped out! I still pick up whatever loose and CWRs that I can find. I am finding 3-4 40%ers a month.

My new goal is 2-3 dime boxes a day, 6 days a week. Hopefully I will find 15-20 silver dimes a week.

So far:
Sunday
Box #1 - 2 FDRs
Box #2 - 3 FDRs
Monday
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 1 FDR
Tuesday
Box #1 4 FDRs and 1x1968 Canadian (50% Ag)
Box #2 1 FDR
Box #3 1 Merc (1944)
Wed
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 skunk
Thurs
Box #1 shunk
Box #2 2 FDRs
Box #3 shunk

Totals: 14 US silver dimes and one 50% Canadian dime

Start recruiting the tellers, that seems to have no interest in collecting silver coins to do the collecting for you. lol especially the ones at TD Banks, they find good stuff when they conduct bag changes, for the coin machines...

Ugh man it sucks I'm on the west coast no TD banks here! And there are barely any with machines! I had to buy a little coin counting machine for myself to use to help me roll :/ the only advantage I have being 17 I tell the tellers I need old coins for a school project and they're more than happy to help. I have 5 banks looking for coins for me pre-65 and pre-71 for halves.

That school project excuse will only work for so long... how many school projects with coins can you possibly have? Eventually the tellers are going to wonder why you want these coins, figure out that the silver ones are worth much more than FV and congratulations, you've just converted a teller to a sniper. Less silver for you and everybody else.

I'd just be more vague and honest. I collect coins. I am trying to get all the dates, and the older ones are hard to get. I avoid using the word silver, and I strongly suggest not giving tellers dates to look for...the ones that hold for me are already in the know, and they just know I like "old" and "big" coins.

If you teach too much, you train the tellers. If you lie too much, you limit yourself and once they realize this isn't a school project, they know you lied and are much less likely to help.

If anyone asks, I just say I collect coins and I promise I won't bring them back. It keeps me out of trouble, it's a fun hobby, etc.

Oh no trust me I've made a ton of friends and they all know I collect as well as a project thing it's cool it's working too honestly. I've never said silver either, sometimes they educate me and say "oh those are the silver ones you know...people come in and collect those so those are gonna be hard for you to find but if I get any ill save them for you." They also save half rolls for me as well. I just need to find a bank on the west coast with a coin machine, rolling dimes is annoying as hell

Yes, the tellers here all snipe, or they sell the silver to the first customer that asks, there's no loyalty. I was bringing candy but found that the rosies they saved ended up costing me 10 bucks a piece lol! The tellers that do snipe know that they can run down to the local jeweler that pays a buck ea for 40%, and $2.50 for 90% halves.

Totals for week ending 2/14/15
10 silver dimes (9 FDR, 1 Can 50%) from 9.4 boxes
2 war nickels
0.8 oz of silver for $1.10
