I got out yesterday! Yay! I think its been months since I've been able to get out swinging. Only had a half day so I ventured down along Chesapeake bay to see if any of my old glory holes were still unplanted. Luckily one of the better spots was not yet planted in corn. No till, sprayed with round up and covered in thick chicken poo honey brittle (PU!) yet I decided to give it a whirl with the Explorer SE anyhow.
LOTS OF SIGNALS! This is the 3rd cut piece of Spanish silver from this site and I am willing to bet there'll be another. it almost looks like this piece was a 1/2 cut and its been broken by the plow.
The 1812 large cent was a surprise. It was WAY deep and if I hadnt been there to see it pop up from 15+ inches I wouldn't have believed it. I thought it was a smashed aluminum can the way it sounded. The whole time it sounded as though it was on top of the ground.
Neat anchor button, some decorative buttons and buckle pieces. Also a watch key. Looks like a silver mirror back plate thats been smashed up. Another silver item with GWO engraved in the center. I dont think this is that old
Also a couple rings including one silver.
First time at this site with the EXPLORER SE. I'll be back here because I was digging signals all the way up until I had to leave.
