I have some silver dollars and I wanted to have y'all take a look at them to see if they look cleaned to you. Cleaned like someone needs to chemical the polish them. Thank you.

The last photo shows the type of holder they were in.

Some of them do to me, but I'm on my cell phone and can't tell very well.

The 1891 looks cleaned (pic 3) but that's all I can really tell you.

Diver_Down or someone else better versed in numismatics could most certainly tell you yea or nay on them though.

The darker ones look to be un-cleaned and have quite a nice tone to them, the others look to be cleaned.

When I'm looking at them in the light there's like tiny scratches all over them so I'm going to try to take a picture of that.

Will they bring any premium on eBay?

Most likely. People on eBay will pay a premium on them (from the all of Peace dollar auctions I've been watching.)

If it were me I might want to pay melt plus $2-3 a coin (junk Morgans and Peaces go for $25+ per coin around here, your area may be different).

Got here late, but would agree that all have been cleaned. As far as premiums go, we all know the Bay brings premiums on anything and everything! Problem is, now that you have had so many say they are cleaned you will have to state that in any auction you put them in.

I had a poor old lady once sell me a Morgan via feeBay and when it arrived at my door cleaned I proceeded to let her know what was up(I didn't know at the time it was a little old lady)! She quickly refunded me some money and I was calmer about the whole situation. Moral of the story: If you don't state them as being possibly cleaned and a collector buys them, you will probably get yourself into a crappy situation. That's my two cents....

FWIW, I contacted APMEX to see if they buy cull Morgans and Peaces, and they do, but require a minimum of $1,000. They did not specify, but I assumed they mean $1,000 face value.

Thanks for the responses! I'm going to auction them starting at .99. So we will see how they do! Thanks!
