Hey everyone,

Just wondering who tells the truth when buying coins. Most of the time the tellers don't ask why, but when they do I tell them the coins are for my grandpa and I. What's your story?

Exactly what I say. It isn't completely untrue but it works every time :)

Most of my pickup banks know I search coins with my 88 year old grandfather, this is 100% true, I bring up a box of half dollars to go through with him every Sunday. He even ordered halves for me, and I never asked him to, so this week I will be doing 3 boxes with him :)

I make random stuff up whenever random tellers ask. Most don't care to, take my cash and give me my boxes, I say thank you, they say see you next week. Done.

No need for any bs, treats, stories etc

:coffee2: I tell them the truth & that I'm a collector & I'm looking for coins for my collection. If they ask me what year I'm looking for, I tell them 2013. I also tell them I will take any coins they get in & to call me. They usually don't but have some have called me.
