Found in the dirt. looks like it says "Cokestore" I plan on opening it up. Amount of caution depends on if anybody thinks it is something that needs preserving...

There are small ones out there. Called pill boxes too sometimes ,but snuff has a hole in some to expose snuff to pouring a pinch to snuff.
Many fancy containers just have lids ,but a good upper and lower grip surface avoids spills.
(Containers purchased separate from snuff in commercial packaging.)
Some kid I knew years ago(:laughing7:) would buy a little tin of it sometimes.
Holes are not lined up in pictured piece until one part, lid or bottom, is turned to align.

Not silver, doesn't react with nitric acid.

Sigh.
Just suggesting snuff. Nasal tobacco.
Used to buy it in tins about the diameter of a quarter.
Fancy folks can buy or be gifted a nicer one(container) from where ever.
Your container could have held Grandmothers saccharine for all I know.
Anything that would fit would have a home.

Looks like a great container for ,wait for it....snuff.

image.webpimage.webpNothing inside. No identifiable marks. Probably discarded snuff tin. Giving this one to relevant. Just confused about the letters on top.
