Don't be this guy.

Hi all, merc here. Haven't been on the forum much in the past 8 months or so. I think I've learned enough that I have a pretty good system down and I pull in 5 to 20 silvers per week and I'm thankful for the knowledge I have picked up here on treasure net. What prompted me to post today was a very upsetting experience I had yesterday. I get three boxes of halves per week from one of my supply banks and I was looking forward to the search because I did well last week (1 90% and 4 40%). So I get home and rip into the first box. Repacks. I know this happens but it's the first time for me. All three sealed boxes were repacks. I'm more angry at the courier then the crh who did it but my point I want to make is, don't do this. This has been debated on here before and I've heard the arguments the repackers use but to me it's just not a crh best practice and it's inconsiderate to your fellow hunters. It just wasted my time and dumping resources. To people who do this, I hope you reap what you sow. To the rest of the hunters who do it right, good luck and happy hunting.

Please explain to me how I should be dumping my coins if I can't roll them.....

I HATE REROLLERS

Merc, merc, merc.... I'm going to advocate something a tad bit unethical but you could look at it as taking karma into your own hands. Just tell them you were shorted, you don't want compensated, just don't let whoever dumped these, dump here again. I don't encourage it, I said this before and people were sending me some mean replies. It's a mean thing to do, and I wouldn't genuinely do it unless the person was a bad reroller and I actually was shorted ( I was) but, it is a valid tactic.

bags and coin counters is where the real volume players go

That just flat out sucks. Hope you are repaid 10 fold with grandma's collection getting rolled into your next box.

Omega, rerolling is fine. Just please don't reuse the machine wrappers they came in. And when you take them to your dump bank, don't bring them in the box they came in. That will pretty much force the dump bank to bag them. Remember, my whole complaint with this situation was that I got three sealed boxes, with mwr that had been opened on one end and then folded back over..

Hey 50, it's easy to get angry when you get burned, but in this case the count was right on and I wouldn't lie. It's kind of funny though today I went to a nearby town and hit a few banks, one of which was the same bank, different branch, where I had picked up these repacks. I've gotten cwr here and ordered boxes before. Today I'm just looking for halves and they say they have $5000. In boxes. Probably in reused machine wrappers. And I then remembered they had that amount there when I first visited that branch some time ago. They had told me they ordered them for someone and he later brought them back. They said the wouldn't order for him anymore but I'm guessing he's still dumping on them. I'm thinking this is probably my guy and I'm thinking I may have to switch this supply bank to a dump bank.

That's a pretty good way to put it. Lol

Damn dump banks are having issues with my bags -_-, its a joke. Now they get 5k in rolled halves every week lol, they'll come around soon enough.

I think everybody hit the nail on the head, it's part of the hobby and personally i would count you blessing that your finding up to 20 silver a week. There are a ton of hunters that would kill to get that especially out of three boxes a week or even triple that. let it go and don't spend any more energy on it and do all the rest of the countries CRH's a favor that are so jealous of the opportunity and amount of silver that you noreasters pull. Go get it

Ive been lucky enough to never get a re-rolled box...

I think I remember before, people would tape up their re-wrapped boxes with duct tape, to force the coin courier to have to re-box/wrap the contents... Or do I not recall that correctly?

HH

The tellers at the bank check the box to make sure all 50 rolls are there and may occasionally spot check a few rolls for accuracy before sending them out. I don't think duct taping the box would be effective because the tellers would need to check the contents.

guys, guys guys.......

You need to remember

Rerolling - Rolling coins using the machine wrapper they were originally rolled it
Rolling- Rolling coins using a wrapper that's actually meant to be wrapped.

Rolling I don't have a problem with. Rerolling I do.

What's the difference, it's somebody's dumps regardless. ..

Would you rather have $1500 in RErolled dumps or $1500 in rolled dumps? They both suck, sure, but RErolled halves you can be reasonably sure are not worth searching (I would and have however...)

I think the real blame here is the couriers. It's easy to blame the CRHer who did it in the first place but the couriers are PAID to count and roll and box coin. If they don't do this then they are not performing their duty. My opinion. Dumps are dumps, bagged rolled or loose.

Stevo. I didn't mean to imply that I was getting up to 20 silver from 3 boxes of halves a week. I search nickels and dimes also. Sometimes a lot of them. Plus whatever loose or rolled halves I can round up. Here is this weeks total finds:

Yes. The couriers. I said early on that I was more upset with the couriers than the dumper.
