Found in a creek bed in limestone. Noticed it because of the rust like stains on the limestone.

I think what you have is either pyrite or marcasite. Unique piece

It looks like bigfoot's lead footprint on top right, I want to say its galena, but I think more likely it could be marcasite but I couldn't find a comparable pic. That's just my two cents, I'm not a professional. Oops didn't see Mr. Booth's post still my guesses though lol feel better about marcasite now...

Brian is right. They can form roundish shapes, better known under the trade name "Pyrite sun".

Thanks guys! I do really appreciate your help. This one was mostly broken from a tree falling on it and was all in a round ball shape with all the shards pointing in to the center. I think I have found two more in the limestone but not sure how to remove them without damaging them.
