Bob and i found plenty.

I think we had a total of 8 coins between us.

I did find 2 wheats one being a 1944 and the other being a 54.

Naw.... there's still a lot there.

I have to be a little more careful on weekdays though. Somebody spotted me, turned me and the facility police showed up and asked me to leave. They said it might be better if I came back on the weekend. I understand their position. They were trying to be decent, but had to do their job.

Anyway, I'll just have to be a little more descrete during weekdays. There's a lot more people there, during the week and some of them (according to the police), "... don't miss much".

"Officially", it's not. Big sign as you enter the property that says something to the effect of "State property, all other uses prohibited". And you know how NC feels about their property...

I didn't expect a reply to my post. Everyone want's to stay clear of the enforcement agency's. But just keep yr head in the sand and their won't be any place to detect in the future. i have found numerous sites and notified the state & when they were aware it is posted off site to the public . I can respect an arechology area not to dig, but any area on public property is ridiculous. Any state site not historical is fair game.
