Looks like a drill to me.
Could be used as a perforater also.
Nice find. It must be nice to dig indoors!
 

Not a Drill. The serrated edges make it a Knife that has been resharpened a few time to give it a slight bevel. Still a great looking piece.

This is sorta similar ? In my area it is commonly called a Bradley Spike. Not sure for your area. I am thinking many exhausted tools though end up like that from re-sharpening. This one is made like this from scratch.
