KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Hamburgers, fries, punches and chairs all were thrown during a fight involving customers and employees of a fast food restaurant in Kalamazoo that ended with two arrests. Police said four customers in a vehicle at a Wendy's drive-thru lane midday Saturday claimed their order was incorrect. Police said they hurled drinks, hamburgers and fries at an employee inside.

Police said the employee then threw food at the vehicle, hitting it with a drink, ketchup and fries, and two people from the vehicle went inside the restaurant, where they fought with employees.

Two of the customers were arrested on charges of assault. The employee had scrapes and abrasions, but didn't need medical attention.

Police said employees blamed the fight on a "communication breakdown."

Aint it sad that people try to solve their problems like this? Its happening more & more often unfortunately. Our society is regressing..........we've peaked & are now starting that downward spiral into the dark abyss. Best buckle up boys n' girls, its gonna be one hell of a rough ride.

You got that right......I think we need to do what Charles Bronson did in that vigalante movie he stared in back in 1979-or 1980. Then when those new aged punks that have no respect or manners see that there ain't gonna be any crap taken from society, their little outlook will change and they can go back to their video games and such. I am ashamed of the world we live in now.

Glad to see the employees fought back! I bet the punks in the car didn't see that coming at all.

It's a bad situation all the way around, the people in the car acted poorly but also the kid at the register stooped to their level.

If I were in the clerks position, I may have thrown some food back as well, I always try to keep my cool but you never know how you will react in a situation.

If I were in the clerks position, I may have thrown some food back as well, I always try to keep my cool but you never know how you will react in a situation.

I'd rather see the kid fight back than be one that has problems for the rest of his life because of crap like that when he was young. Stuff like that sticks with you for good at least on a low level... just ask Dr. Phil.

The real problem is when someone pulls a gun.

I agree there, it's hard seeking cover behind a French Fry, or a burger.

I can kind of understand the frustration of fast food joints, because numerous times I have gone through drive throughs, got my food, and left, only to realize 5 miles down the road, or after I got home they screwed up my order, either by giving me the wrong items, or short on items, or order totally messed up. I had quit going to several places in particular that had a habit of everytime I went there I had to go back in and complain they screwed up my order over and over again.

Sometimes I got so ticked I wanted to slap the crap out of somebody so hard it would throw them back in elementry school so they could learn to read and understand English all over again!

But some people handle anger differently, but the customers went overboard in my opinion, they should have done things differently.

If I go into a fast food joint and eat inside and get ketchup I never get it out of those ketchup pump machines. I always get packets. Reason being I was in Daytona Beach about 4 years ago and the manager had just came out of the rest room with a mop and then got a ketchup bag and was filling up the ketchup bucket with the plastic ketchup bag. Well he wasn't wearing any plastic gloves and he had gotten ketchup all over 3 of his fingers and after he emptied the bag, he scraped his fingers on the lip of the ketchup bucket to remove the ketchup from 3 of his fingers into the bucket.

I didn't say anything to him about it, and I went to the girl at the counter and got the store number and told her about it, and she looked at him with shock at what he was doing. I called the district manager and told him the girls name who also witnessed it as well as called the health department.

After that. I don't eat at very many fast food joints anymore just for that reason.

I believe there IS a connection between fast food and aggression.
But then again, this problem extends far beyond french fries frustration. I posted something awhile back about this country's hyper over-population and here it is again:

Oh and they always screw ya in the drive-thru...everyone knows that.

I do not go thru drive thru anymore for those reasons, they will screw up water. I go in each time, do they still mess it up...yes, but it can be taken care of before I leave. It doesn't matter which fast food it is or where it is, I don't know why it is that way... it just is that way. It just seems that the person handling drive thru could have an IQ that puts the average Mensa IQ to shame but as soon as they hit drive thru they become the proverbial dumb as a box of rocks (my apologies to the rocks).
